At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, June 26, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. announced an agency has requested use of county grounds for an event for mental-health awareness later this year.

Guthrey said the request from the agency says the event is to “raise awareness among the community about who we are and mental health.”
Guthrey listed off some of the events scheduled to take place during the two-day extravaganza.

Clerk Debbie Russell also pointed out the request includes the bathrooms being open in the courthouse. Commissioners approved the request.
