Four Sedalia residents sustained injuries in a traffic crash in Pettis County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 15-year-old Emmanuel Silchuk, reportedly ran off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees.
A passenger in the vehicle, 61-year-old Yekaterina Silchuk, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by Staff for Life Air Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries. The driver and two other passengers- each 12 years old- reportedly told first responders they would seek their own treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at about 2 p.m. on Boonville Road near Birdsong Road.
