Missouri Department of Transportation crews are scheduled to start striping on I-70, including in Cooper County, beginning on Sunday, July 22.
According to MoDOT, stripe painting is to take place during overnight hours for up to three weeks.
Motorists can expect a slow-moving caravan of trucks with flashing lights, boards with flashing arrows and signs that say “Wet Paint.”
The wet paint is water-based, so motorists who get it on their vehicles are being advised to clean their vehicle as quickly as possible with a high-powered water hose, such as those used at car washes.
All work is weather permitting.
