Wesley Lewis “Sonny” Shirley, age 81, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Bethany Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Shirley, of Sedalia; a half-brother, Frank Walter Shirley, of Arizona; and nieces, Laura, Shannon, Myra and Kyla.

In addition to his wife, Bethel Joy (Allee), and parents, Walter E. Shirley and Adele (Bashore) Birch; he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Logan.
