As other districts have done, during its meeting on Tuesday, August 21, the Salisbury R-4 School Board approved the district’s tax-levy rate for the 2018-19 school year.
According to a release from the district, the rate was approved at $4.4697 per $100 of assessed valuation of real and personal property, which includes a voluntary rollback of 61.29 cents from the ceiling of $5.0826. The rate breaks down as: $3.2197 going into the General-Incidental Fund (Fund 1); and $1.25 to be placed into the Capital-Projects Fund (Fund 4).
In other news, the board approved Tim Armentrout as a volunteer junior-high football coach and the rehiring of Mary Vaughan as a part-time bus driver.
Board members also received a report on updates and took a tour of the district’s facilities.
