A Sedalia man has been charged with multiple felonies for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile.
According to a probable-cause statement, on August 21, 2018, the juvenile told a child-safe investigator that 47-year-old David B. Wilson had been molesting her for the past year. She described in detail some of the sexual acts– including him touching her under her underwear and on her breasts; as well as to have her touch him inappropriately; try to get her to take a shower with him; and several other inappropriate acts.
The girl’s mother reportedly told authorities that her daughter had been having issues with anxiety and is on medication for that. The timing of the female’s anxiety reportedly coincides with the time frame she stated the inappropriate sexual conduct started.
According to online court documents, Wilson faces Class B Felonies for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree- Aggravated Sexual Offense and Child Molestation in the Second Degree- Child Less Than 17 Years of Age and Offender Greater Than Four Years Older; and a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. On Thursday, August 30, surety bond of $110,000 was posted and Wilson was arraigned.
Wilson’s cause has been continued for another hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
