A Salisbury woman has been charged with felonies after methamphetamine, marijuana, controlled pills and other drug-related items were found during a consented search of a residence where she is living.
According to a probable-cause statement, the police officer found the items in the living room and bathroom of the residence on South Broadway. Authorities say some of the items were accessible by two children– ages 9 and 11– who live at the residence.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been served and 44-year-old Lisa Carlene Hays has been charged with Class D Felonies for Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs in the First Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana; and three drug-related misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash only- no surety.
Hays’ initial hearing at Chariton County Circuit Court is pending.
