A roadwork project is scheduled to take several days to complete and will close a portion of a Howard County roadway for several hours each day beginning on Tuesday, September 4.
According to the MoDOT, crews are scheduled to replace several culvert pipe along Highway 87, between Highways 5 and 187, with the closure of the roadway to last from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day through Thursday, September 13.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.
An ongoing roadwork project during overnight hours is scheduled to resume in Howard County this week. Resurfacing and shoulder improvements are scheduled to continue on Highway 40, between Highway 5 and Route UU in Boone County.
Beginning on Tuesday, September 4, side-road entrance paving and shoulder grading is scheduled to take place throughout the week. Also, curb installation will take place west of the I-70 interchange this week, and the overall project is scheduled to run through sometime in October.
During the project, one lane will be open, and crews will guide traffic through the work area.
