The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has announced it is now offering an all-online bow hunter education course for Missouri residents ages 16 years and older.
According to MDC, the online course includes videos and animations to teach bow hunter safety, ethics, regulations, and wildlife management, which offers a more flexible and convenient option to become bow hunting certified. The online course also can be an excellent refresher for veteran bow hunters.
Bow hunter certification in Missouri is still voluntary, but some managed hunting opportunities may require it. Also, other states may require bow hunter certification and will accept this online course.
Each online student will receive a temporary bow hunter education certificate once they complete and pass the 60-question final exam with an 80 percent or higher grade. The fee for the all-online course is $30, and individuals 15 years or younger are still required to complete the in-person bow hunter education course to receive certification.
