Sedalia residents are scheduled to have their new city garbage and recycling carts delivered later this month, but the carts can’t be utilized until new garbage trucks are delivered.
According to a news release, due to an unanticipated change from the truck manufacture, the garbage and recycling carts are scheduled to be delivered sometime between September 17 and 28, but their use will be delayed until the new garbage trucks are delivered by early November.
Each household will be provided one 95 or 65 gallon gray cart for garbage and one blue cart of the same sizes for recyclables. To keep garbage and recycling fees as low as possible, residents are encourage to recycle.
