An investigation of reported suspicious activity led to the arrest and charges being filed against a husband and wife from Carrollton.
According to a probable-cause statement, on October 21, during a probable-cause search of the vehicle, authorities say they found a light-bulb meth pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine; several different types of prescription medications- some in labeled bottles not belonging to either of the vehicle’s occupants and some that had the labels ripped off; one of the medications was identified as Clonazepam- a scheduled controlled substance; a small plastic bag containing methamphetamine; and other drug-related items.
Online court documents say each 22-year-old Glenda Cheyenne Michaels and 24-year-old Derrick Sylvester Michaels has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana and three drug-related misdemeanors. Bond for each subject has been set at $35,000 cash or licensed surety- no 10-percent allowed.
An initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Carroll County Circuit Court.
