Law-enforcement agencies in Carroll County teamed up to capture a fugitive.
According to a post on the Carrollton Police Department’s Facebook page, on Tuesday, October 23, Carrollton Police officers, with the assistance of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, engaged in a manhunt in the residential area southeast of the intersection of North Mason Street and East 4th Street.
As a result, 37-year-old Willis E. Turner Jr., of Tina, was apprehended on a Missouri Department of Corrections Detainee Warrant. Turner had been absconding from the Department of Corrections since August 2018.
Turner currently is incarcerated without bond awaiting extradition back to the Department of Corrections.
