Two area residents were killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Randolph County on Sunday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a an eastbound vehicle, driven by 31-year-old Kayla Cox, of Salisbury, reportedly crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a westbound vehicle, driven by 67-year-old David Dunn, of Huntsville.
Cox and a passenger in her vehicle- 47-year-old John Birmingham, of Bucklin- were pronounced deceased at the scene by Randolph County Coroner Don Barrett at 8:40 p.m. Dunn reportedly was transported by Randolph County ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries. None of the occupants of the vehicles reportedly was wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened just after 8 p.m. on Missouri Highway 24, south of Huntsville.
