Voters turned out in nearly historic numbers to cast their ballots during the midterm election on Tuesday, November 6, and Saline County was no exception.
During the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, November 8, Clerk Debbie Russell applauded the voters, and said this reminded her a lot of the 2016 presidential election.
In addition to the voters, Russell gave kudos to all of the persons who worked at the polling locations.
Russell also said certification of the election is set for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 9, in her office.
Russell said it will be about a four-hour process, and then all of the paperwork will be submitted to the Secretary of State’s Office to deem the election certified.
