Power outages in the West Central Electric Cooperative service area have been greatly reduced within the past 24 hours, down from more than 2,500 on the morning of Sunday, January 13, to just 150 services still out as of 8 a.m. on Monday, January 14.
A news release says a total of 26 linemen from five Missouri cooperatives arrived over the weekend to assist West Central crews with repair efforts.
Cooperative officials expect all services to be restored by 9 p.m. on Monday, January 14.
The release says, members who still do not have power by noon on Monday, January 14, should contact the cooperative at (800) 491-3803 or (816) 565-4942 or report their outage online or on the SmartHub app.
