The MMU Board of Public Works discussed two separate projects for the electrical department during its meeting on Thursday, January 31.
Electric Distribution Director Doug Root said the first project involves extending electrical lines and adding street lights on the Hab Center property for Marshall Public Schools.

Root added the $25,000 project should benefit the school district with any future plans it has for the Hab Center property.
In other business, Root details which area of town is in this year’s plan of the ongoing project of converting overhead electrical lines to underground.

The board approved the motions to begin the electrical projects.
