The Concordia Board of Aldermen had an Oath of Office ceremony for a couple of police officers during its meeting on Monday, February 4.
City Administrator Dale Klussman said the oath was administered to Interim Police Chief Paul Mapes, who was promoted as police chief, and Officer Aaron Rucker, who was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Klussman added a third officer was scheduled for the oath, but duty called.

Again, Officer Kim Davis is scheduled to take the Oath of Office to ascend to the rank of detective on Wednesday, February 6.
In other business, Klussman said preliminary discussions began regarding the police department utilizing social media.

The next board of aldermen meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19, due to President’s Day on Monday, February 18.
