The Sedalia City Council approved an agreement for K-9 police officer training during its meeting on Monday, February 4.
City Administrator Kelvin Shaw said a deputy with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department had previously worked with the two K-9 officers, and with the current trainer retiring, Shaw said it made sense to approve the agreement with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

In other business, Shaw said the council also approved an agreement with Site-Rite Construction, of Kansas City, for a sewer extension project for Nucor Steel. Shaw added the $105,000 project is scheduled to take three months to complete.
