The Pettis County Health Center is scheduled to be closed for about a week for remodeling beginning on Friday, March 8.
According to a news release, residents are advised to take care of getting birth and death certificates prior to the closing, but those certificates, as well as VFC vaccines, may be obtained from other health departments if needed during the closure. Also, the closure will suspend the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) nutrition program until remodeling work is finished. It is anticipate that the remodeling work will close the Pettis County Health Center at 911 East 16th Street in Sedalia until Friday, March 15.
As of Friday, March 1, the car seat program will be handled through the Sedalia Fire Department until the remodeling is completed.
