Due to icy road conditions and bitterly-cold temperatures, several school districts have contacted KMMO and will not be in session; while some others will be on a delayed-start schedule on Monday, March 4.
According to what has been submitted so far: Prairie View State School in Marshall is closed. Others closed include: Concordia Public and St. Paul’s Lutheran Elementary in Concordia; Hardeman R-10; Hardin-Central; Lexington R-5; Miami R-1; Odessa R-7; Orearville R-4; Otterville; Pettis County R-5 at Houstonia and Hughesville; Pettis County R-12 at Dresden; Sedalia 200, Sacred Heart and E.W. Thompson State School in Sedalia; Sweet Springs R-7; and Tina-Avalon.
Schools on a two-hour, delayed-start schedule include: Marshall Public Schools; Carrollton R-7; Gilliam C-4; Glasgow Public and Head Start in Glasgow; Lafayette County C-1 and Immanuel Lutheran in Higginsville; Malta Bend R-5; Santa Fe Schools in Alma and Waverly and Trinity Lutheran in Alma; and Slater. Norborne R-8 Schools are on a 2 1/2-hour, delayed-start schedule.
