The Marshall Public School District will be looking for a new high school principal.
According to a news release from Superintendent Dr. Carl Maher, MHS Principal Jacob Sirna has accepted the position of principal at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia. Sirna- who was hired last year- will complete this school year, which officially ends on June 30.
Dr. Maher said: “Although we’re sorry to see him go, I feel so lucky to have had his enthusiasm, leadership, and positive attitude for this year. He has brought so much to the high school and MPS in general, we must wish him and his family the best in his new adventure.”
Dr. Maher says she will be contacting individuals to serve on a search committee as the district moves forward. “The successful candidate will be one who will promote and further the initiatives Mr. Sirna has started, share in his philosophy of high expectations and optimism, and honor the traditions of MHS.”
Dr. Maher says she will be at the MHS faculty meetings to get input from the entire MHS faculty and staff.
