A full inspection of the Missouri River Bridge on I-70 near Rocheport will cause lanes closures for several hours each day and is scheduled to last a couple of weeks beginning on Monday, March 25.
According to MoDOT, the inspection is in preparation for rehabilitation work on the bridge scheduled for 2020.
Only one lane of I-70 will be closed in one direction each day with the closures scheduled during non-peak travel times. However, motorists may experience traffic delays on the bridge and should allow extra time to reach their destination.
The schedule is as follows:
· Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26 – One eastbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
· Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28 – One westbound lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· Friday, March 29 – One eastbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31 – One westbound lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· Monday, April 1 – One eastbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
· Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3 – One westbound lane will be closed from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
The work schedule is weather permitting and is subject to change.
