Area rivers swelled and several area roadways were closed late in the month of March. But the temperatures- which were cold at the beginning of the month- warmed up later in the month at the KMMO studio in Marshall.
According to statistics supplied by the National Weather Service, the average high was 48.5 degrees. The average low was 30.1 degrees. The high was 71 degrees on March 28. The low of minus-2 degrees was recorded on March 4.
Precipitation measured 4.19 inches. The most precipitation- 1.07 inches- was registered on March 9.
