Four area residents suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Benton County on Saturday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Hunter Jones, of Cole Camp, reportedly crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 45-year-old Rachel Wienberg, of Cole Camp, nearly head-on.
Jones and a passenger in Wienberg’s vehicle- 22-year-old Anna Roberts, of Lincoln- suffered serious injuries and were flown by Life Flight Eagle helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Neither reportedly was wearing a seat belt. Wienberg and another passenger in her vehicle- 21-year-old Alyssa Wienberg, of Cole Camp- were transported by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at 12:30 p.m. on Route B, one-quarter of a mile south of Deer Run.
