A court proceeding for a Lincoln man accused of murdering a Sedalia woman in Pettis County is scheduled to be held this week.
According to the Sedalia Police Department, on January 21, 2018, Justin K. Lewis turned himself into authorities and was taken into custody without incident for allegedly stabbing to death 33-year-old Heather McClellan earlier that month.
Online court documents say Lewis has been charged with a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
Lewis, who is now 30 years old, entered a plea of not guilty on February 20, 2018. A motion hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Friday, April 19; and Lewis’ jury trial is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday, April 29, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
