The Marshall Public School District administration has terminated a bus driver it says was involved in an incident last week.
According to an original statement from Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher on Saturday, April 20:
“We are aware of this incident and have been working closely with the family of the child who was involved. The bus driver is on administrative leave while we investigate. There is a video available, and if it is apparent the driver struck the child, he will be terminated. Marshall Public Schools is committed to student safety and welfare, so this incident has our total attention. We will continue to support the child and family as long as necessary.”
An updated release from Dr. Maher on Monday, April 22, says:
“After an investigation into the incident in question, the bus driver in question has been terminated.”
No other information is available on the incident.
