A Knob Noster teenage driver suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash in Johnson County on Wednesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 16-year-old Aaylhia Lerma, reportedly skidded on a wet roadway, struck a sign and impacted an embankment.
Lerma reportedly was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment.
The crash happened just after 7:45 a.m. on Missouri Highway 23, just south of Arnold Avenue.
