The Missouri Public Service Commission recently approved a change in the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) which will increase Spire West gas customers’ monthly bill by almost $1 later this month.
According to a news release, current ISRS for residential customers of Spire West is $0.80 per month. As a result of the increase, residential customers will pay $1.79 a month effective Tuesday, May 14.
The ISRS first appeared on customer bills in April 2004, and the current increase reflects infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company since July 1, 2018. The costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in Spire’s rates.
Spire West provides natural gas service to approximately 513,000 customers in the state, including KMMO listening area counties of Carroll, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Ray, and Saline.
