A resurfacing project is scheduled to continue next week on a highway in Chariton County.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, on Monday, May 13, the resurfacing of Highway 5- from Marceline to Keyetsville- continues and the work scheduled to last through Friday, May 17. The overall project of resurfacing 19-1/2 miles of Highway 5 is expected to last through the end of June.
Work on the Chariton River and Long Creek Bridges on U.S. Highway 24 is scheduled to continue this week with the projects scheduled to last through late May. Also, the bridges will be narrowed to one lane with a 15-foot width restriction until the end of the project.
On Monday, May 13, inspections are scheduled on the Mussel Fork and Chariton River bridges on U.S. Highway 24 near Keytesville, with the work scheduled through Thursday, May 16.
Also on Monday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., culvert replacement is scheduled to close Highway 129, from Route HH to Eccles Road. Also, pavement repair is scheduled on Route WW, from Route KK to the end of state maintenance, with work scheduled to last through Wednesday, May 15.
On Tuesday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Route YY just west of Pershing Road, is scheduled to be closed for culvert replacement.
On Thursday, May 16, pothole patching is scheduled on Route KK , from Route WW to U.S. Highway 24, with work scheduled to last through Friday, May 17.
