A Marshall man has been charged with a felony for allegedly kicking in a door and entering a residence on Tuesday, May 14, in Cooper County.
According to a probable-cause statement, two persons who were in the residence told authorities 21-year-old Elijah Blake Browder kicked in the door, went downstairs, chased one of the persons around before he left the residence in the 900 block on Kemper Drive in Boonville. One of the residents said the door- valued at $500- could not be repaired. Browder was arrested, and while departing, law enforcement said he yelled at one of the victims multiple times that when he gets out of jail, he is going to burn her house down with her in it.
Online court documents say Browder has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree and misdemeanors for attempted assault and property damage. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Browder’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
