A Kansas City woman who allegedly jumped into a car and sped away from the Break Time in Sweet Springs- and later was apprehended in another state- has been charged with felony in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, a female got into a vehicle and drove away without the owner’s knowledge at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. The 2004 Chevrolet Impala was stopped by the Illinois State Highway Patrol at 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15. The description of the vehicle and VIN reportedly, as well as the description of the subject and what she was wearing.
Online court documents say Ronnae Tisha Perkins has been charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash only.
Perkins’ initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
