A La Monte man has been charged with felonies for an alleged domestic assault incident recently in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says Pettis County deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of South Walnut in La Monte at approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.
Deputies spoke with a female victim who stated a verbal argument occurred with 26-year-old Karnes Mosok. The victim stated she began to walk outside to stop arguing when Mosok reportedly punched her in the face. Mosok reportedly continued to punch the victim in the face where she lost a tooth and became unconscious. The victim added she regain consciousness on the ground and noticed blood around her mouth. Mosok reportedly fled the scene, but was eventually arrested a few hours later.
Online court documents say Mosok has been charged with a Class A Felony for Domestic Assault in the First Degree; a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest; and a misdemeanor for assault. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for Mosok is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
