While some area roadways have been reopened to traffic, some have been added to the list, and numerous other area roadways remain closed due to flooding.
According to the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, there are closures in Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Lafayette and Johnson Counties. Roadways that were closed in Howard and Pettis Counties have been reopened to traffic.
In Saline County, Missouri Highway 240, from Route P- east of Gilliam- to Glasgow; Route UU, about two miles east of U.S. Highway 65; Route VV, north of I-70 near Emma; Highway 127, north of Sweet Springs; and the Outer Road, south of I-70 at Sweet Springs, are closed.
In Carroll County, U.S. Highway 65, just north of Moss Creek and County Road 508- between Waverly and Carrollton; Missouri Highway 10, between Carrollton and Norborne; and Routes D and E at Turkey Creek are closed.
In Chariton County, U.S. Highway 24, from just west of De Witt to just west of Brunswick and from Route FF to the city of Keytesville; Missouri Highway 5, between Lewis Mill and Forest Green, at Doxies Creek; Route J, north of New Frankfort; Route NN, south of Salisbury are closed.
In Cooper County, Route OO, just south of I-70 and west of mile marker 98; Route HH, northwest of Pilot Grove; Route V, south of I-70 and off of Missouri Highway 179; Route NN at Clear Creek; Route Z at Heaths Creek; and Route DD and K- north of Blackwater- at Flat Creek are closed.
In Lafayette County, Missouri Highway 224, at two locations just west of Lexington at the Missouri River, is closed.
In Johnson County, Missouri Highway 23 at two locations between Concordia and Knob Noster at the Blackwater River; and Route E, near Valley City, are closed.
