A Higginsville teenage driver suffered serious injuries in a rollover traffic crash in Lafayette County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Alexander Engle, reportedly was traveling too fast on a gravel roadway and attempted to turn eastbound; and during the turn, the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top. Engle reportedly left the scene of the crash prior to the arrival of the trooper.
Engle reportedly was transported by Concordia E.M.S. to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment.
The crash happened at 1:30 a.m. on Schoolingville Road at Bethel Church Road.
