An area E-911 agency has released a statement about closed roadways.
A post on the Chariton County E-911 Facebook page on Wednesday, June 19, says:
“The Highway 5 construction project is once again not running yet this morning. We have been advised by the MoDOT team here in Chariton County that Highway J is now open to Bowling Green Avenue; Highway MM is open to Highway J; and Highway M is open to Schlueter Avenue.”
The Post continued…
“We have also taken multiple calls wondering why roads that no longer have water on them are not open yet. Those roads will not be opened to traffic until they are 100 percent clear of water and debris and have been inspected to meet state safety standards. This is for your protection. The MoDOT folks are working hard to get these roads back open. Please be patient.”
