During its meeting on Monday, June 17, the Higginsville Board of Aldermen considered approval of a contract agreement for the concrete street construction portion of the 2019 Street Improvement Program.

In other news, aldermen approved several annual liquor licenses and fireworks sales permits; Mayor Bill Kolas read a proclamation for the Juneteenth Celebration, which was June 14 and 15; and the board changed its two meetings in September to September 3 (due to Labor Day being on Monday, September 2) and Monday, September 23, to get the budget prepared.
