The annual Steve McQueen Day was scheduled to be held in Slater on Saturday, June 15.
However, City Administrator Gene Griffith said it had to be postponed due to predicted inclement weather.

Griffith said it has been rescheduled to take place in conjunction with another event.

In other news from the city council meeting on Tuesday, June 18, Griffith said the council was told the contractor is scheduled to begin work on the Front Street Water Tower during the last week of July.
