Walter Gene Young, age 70, of Nelson, died Saturday June 22, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial follow Saturday’s service at Pilot Grove City Cemetery.

Preceding Walter G. Young in death were his parents, Frank and Nona Young; his wife Edna M. Young; his son Orland Andrew Young; brothers Clarence and Kenneth Young.

Those surviving Walter are sons Walter Young, Jr. and wife Joanna and Frank Young and wife Jessica, all of Nelson, Mo.; daughter Joyce Fornshell of Doe Run, Mo.; brothers Orland E. Young of Blackwater, Mo. and Richard Young of Slater, Mo.
