There has been one change to the list of major highways closed due to flooding in the KMMO listening area in the last 24 hours.
According to MODOT’s Traveler Information map, in Johnson County, a section of Highway 23, between Concordia and Knob Noster, that was closed has been reopened to traffic.
However, official closures remain on portions of major highways in Saline, Carroll, Howard, Lafayette and Ray Counties.
Saline County closures include Highway 240 west of Glasgow. But the Outer Road south of I-70 at Sweet Springs has been reopened to traffic.
In Carroll County, Highway 65, between Carrollton and Waverly; Highway 10, between Carrollton and Norborne; and Highway 41, north of Miami to near the junction of Highway 24, are closed.
In Howard County, a portion of U.S. Highway 40, from just east of the intersection of Highway 5 to just a few miles west of Rocheport, remains closed.
In Lafayette County, Highway 224 at two locations between Lexington and Wellington is closed.
And in Ray County, Highway 10, between Norborne and Hardin, is closed.
There also are some other routes closed in Chariton and Ray Counties.
