At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, August 8, Clerk Debbie Russell said there was a successful election held on Tuesday, August 6, involving voters in the Blackburn Special Road District.

Russell said certification is scheduled for this week.

According to ballot language, voters approved an additional tax rate of 35 cents per $100 of assessed valuation on taxable real-estate and personal property in the district for four years- 2019, 2020, ’21 and ’22- to be used for rock on the roads in the district.
