During the meeting of the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen on Monday, August 12, some citizens voiced some concerns.
City Clerk Michelle Fuehring says a couple of residents are concerned about dilapidated houses affecting the value of a house they renovated in a negative way.

Fuehring said the other was a concern from a resident who had gotten a nuisance letter from the city.

Fuehring said “She feels the ditch should be mowed by the city; and we explained that the homeowner owns from their house to the road, and the ditches are the responsibility of the homeowners. I think she was just more worried about what was going to happen since she received the nuisance letter- because this is the first one she’s ever gotten.”
