Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety for Sedalia man who has been charged with drug and resisting arrest felonies.
According to a probable-cause statement, a Sedalia Police officer says he tried to arrest 40-year-old Gary Spradley on active warrants on August 11. Spradley reportedly ran from the officer- refusing to comply- until he fell down. Spradley eventually was handcuffed, and he allegedly was found to be in possession of some methamphetamine.
Online court documents say Spradley has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest by Fleeing.
Spradley was arraigned on Tuesday, August 13. His counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
