Two area residents suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Saline County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Robert Blithe Jr., of Warrensburg, reportedly stopped in the roadway, reversed and turned left and into the path of a southbound vehicle, driven by 46-year-old Evelyn Evans, of Marshall.
While Evans and two passengers in her vehicle reportedly refused treatment of unspecified injuries; Blithe and a passenger in his vehicle- 21-year-old Shelby Bushell, of Odessa- who reportedly were not wearing seat belts- suffered moderate and serious injuries, respectively. Blithe and Bushell reportedly were transported by Saline County E.M.S. to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on U.S. Highway 65 at Route H (Boat Road).
