A rollover traffic crash in Howard County sent all parties involved to the hospital on Friday, October 18, 2019.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the driver of an eastbound vehicle, driven by 86-year-old Carl Thomas of Boonville, crossed the center line and struck the westbound vehicle driven by 40-year-old Timothy Chamberlain of Boonville. The impact reportedly caused Chamberlain’s Cadillac Escalade to overturn several times.
Thomas and his 85-year-old passenger, Mary Thomas, of Fulton, both sustained moderate injuries and were transported by Howard County Ambulance to University Hospital of Columbia for treatment.
Chamberlain and his passenger, 39-year-old Sunny Allison, of Boonville, each sustained serious injuries and they were also taken to University Hospital Columbia via MU Air Care for treatment. According to the report neither Chamberlain or Allison were wearing a safety device.
The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. on U.S. Highway 40, west of State Highway 5.
