A resident of Springfield was injured in a freightliner crash in Saline County on Thursday.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened as an eastbound freightliner, driven by 26-year-old Matthew Hinkle, traveled off the right side of the roadway, down an embankment, onto the outer road and then struck several trees.

Hinkle, who suffered minor injuries, reportedly was treated and released at the scene.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. at the 71.8 mile marker of I-70.

A Hughesville woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle traffic accident in Pettis County on Thursday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Paris Hill, hit loose gravel, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch.

Hill reportedly was transported from the scene by a private vehicle to a hospital in Sedalia for treatment.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. on Route EE, one mile south of Pinhook Road.
