A Springfield man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Johnson County on Saturday.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a northbound Harley Davidson, driven by 59-year-old Michael Hopper, reportedly failed to negotiate a curve, struck a curb and overturned.

Hopper was transported by Johnson County E.M.S. to a hospital in Independence for treatment of moderate injuries.

The accident happened at about 4 p.m. on Missouri Highway 13 an the Business 13 South Roundabout.
