MU Extension in northwest Missouri is offering Free Income Tax Preparation through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Those who qualify are people who generally make $60,000 or less/year, persons with disabilities, and Limited English-speaking taxpayers. VITA volunteers are limited in preparation scope and will not file farm, business, or other complex tax returns. Make an appointment with the Chariton County Extension Office to get your taxes done.
