Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain, a chronic pain self-management program, is a six-week, highly interactive group program to help people gain self-confidence in their ability to control pain related symptoms and learn how chronic pain impacts their lives. Topics include managing frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep; making healthy food choices; appropriate exercise; medication use; how to evaluate new treatments; and communicating with family, friends, and your health care team. This is an evidence-based program developed at Stanford University and now managed by the Self-Management Resource Center.
