The Marshall Community Chorus will draw its 36th concert season to a close with a stellar concert featuring the music of noted choral composer Mark Hayes.
The concert, Love Beyond Measure, examines different aspects of love as set in the contexts of relationships, growth, acceptance, and faith. The chorus will explore this theme through some of Hayes’ most beautiful compositions and arrangements.
Hayes is the second guest composer, appearing as part of the Composer Residency Project.
Audience members are encouraged to arrive thirty minutes early (1:30 PM) to participate in A Conversation with the Composer, when Hayes will talk about some of the songs on the concert, pull back the mystery of composing and arranging, and even answer some audience questions.
The Marshall Community Chorus is a 40-voice volunteer choir with members representing the communities of Marshall, Grand Pass, Slater, Sweet Springs, Fayette, Carrollton, and Sedalia.
As always, the concerts of the Marshall Community Chorus are free and open to the public.
