The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra will conclude its “Salute to 60 Season” on Sunday, April 16th with a blast of brass. This final concert of the anniversary season will feature highly sought after performer, Dr. Iskander Akhmadullin, Professor of Trumpet at the University of Missouri. He will perform “Suite in D” by George Frideric Handel and the iconic theme of the classic TV show, “The Green Hornet”, in the style of Al Hirt’s 1966 album, “The Horn Meets the Hornet.” The concert will further enlist the talents of the fifty-five member Marshall High School Orchestra who recently earned top honors at the Missouri State High School Activities Association’s Music Festival in Boonville. The concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Harold L. Lickey Auditorium of Bueker Middle School and is generously underwritten by Edward Jones agents Ryan Beumer, Josh Dierking, and Derrick Krause. The concert is free and open to the public. A meet and greet reception will immediately follow.
